General Description
1,3-Diethyl-5-methylbenzene, also known as cumene, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H14. It is a flammable liquid that is colorless with a characteristic sweet odor. Cumene is used as a solvent, as well as an intermediate in the production of phenol and acetone. It is also used in the production of other chemicals, such as dimethylphenol and acetophenone. Cumene is considered to be a hazardous chemical and should be handled with care, as it can cause skin and eye irritation, as well as respiratory and central nervous system effects if inhaled or ingested. It may also be harmful to aquatic organisms and the environment.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 2050-24-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,0,5 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2050-24:
(6*2)+(5*0)+(4*5)+(3*0)+(2*2)+(1*4)=40
40 % 10 = 0
So 2050-24-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
