Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 2431-54-1 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 2,4,3 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 2431-54:
(6*2)+(5*4)+(4*3)+(3*1)+(2*5)+(1*4)=61
61 % 10 = 1
So 2431-54-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF 2,3-DICHLOROBUTADIENE-1,3

-

Page/Page column 5, (2009/07/10)

2,3-dichlorobutadiene-1,3 of high purity is produced from 1,2,3,4-tetrachlorobutane by a process comprising the steps of dehydrochlorination, chlorination of the reaction product obtained in the dehydrochlorination step and subsequent separation of a 2,3-dichlorobutadiene-1,3 composition from the reaction product of the chlorination step.

Transmetallation of β-allenyl silanes: Efficient synthesis of dienyl chlorostannanes and chlorostibines

Lahrech, Mokhtar,Thibonnet, Jerome,Hacini, Salih,Santelli, Maurice,Parrain, Jean-Luc

, p. 644 - 645 (2007/10/03)

The reaction of 1-trimethylsilylbuta-2,3-diene with tin tetrachloride, antimony trichloride or antimony pentachloride gave the corresponding buta-1,3-dien-2-yl halostannane or stibine derivatives; this ligand exchange was extended to other β-allenylsilane

INVESTIGATIONS IN THE FIELD OF UNSATURATED COMPOUNDS. XIII. ANOMALOUS CHLORINATION OF 1,2,4-TRICHLORO-2-BUTENE IN THE PRESENCE OF FERRIC CHLORIDE

Mkryan, G. M.,Kaplanyan, E. E.,Mkrtchyan, A. M.,Aivazyan, E. M.

, p. 236 - 239 (2007/10/02)

It was shown that the low-temperature (-5 to 25 deg C) chlorination of 1,2,4-trichloro-3-butene with chlorine in the presence of anhydrous ferric chloride and tert-butylpyrocatechol leads to the formation of an anomalous reaction product and an addition product .It was found that the composition of the products from the chlorination of 2,3,4-trichloro-1-butene is close to the composition of the products from the reaction of 1,2,4-trichloro-2-butene with chlorine.
