-
Paragraph 0040; 0042; 0045, (2019/01/07)
The present invention discloses a synthesizing method of an allyl perfluoroalkyl compound and belongs to the technical field of compound synthesis. Allylphosphonate and a perfluoroalkyl zinc reagent are used to synthesize the allyl perfluoroalkyl compound under a copper catalyst condition. The method is suitable for aromatic hydrocarbon substrates and more suitable for aliphatic substrates, has advantages of mild reaction conditions, simple conditions, good stereoselectivity, etc., and provides an operational method for fluorine-containing blocks needed in life and material sciences.

supporting information, p. 3993 - 3996 (2017/09/08)
Acetalization reactions play significant roles in the synthetically important masking chemistry of carbonyl compounds. Herein we demonstrate for the first time that tropylium salts can act as organic Lewis acid catalysts to facilitate acetalization and transacetalization reactions of a wide range of aldehyde substrates. This metal-free method works efficiently in both batch and flow conditions, prompting further future applications of tropylium organocatalysts in green synthesis.

scheme or table, p. 281 - 287 (2011/01/07)
Carbon nanotubes supported Pd catalysts have been prepared by an impregnation method with aqueous solution containing a Pd(II) salt. The selective hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde with the catalysts is studied in ethanol at 30 °C under atmospheric pressure. A comparison has been made with activated carbon and graphite supported Pd catalysts. The results show that all the Pd/CNTs catalysts prepared with different Pd precursors exhibit good catalytic properties. The Pd/CNTs(a) catalyst prepared with Pd(NH 3)4Cl2 as Pd precursor shows remarkably high selectivity (90.8%) for the conversion of cinnamaldehyde (92.0%) with 18.1 mmol H 2 g-1 min-1 hydrogenation rate. The influence of the solvent polarity and promoter has been investigated. The results demonstrate that highly polar solvent is advantageous for catalytic activity of Pd/CNTs(a) catalyst, while traces of weak base is advantageous for selective hydrogenation of C=C double bond.

experimental part, p. 10036 - 10046 (2010/02/27)
A convenient and inexpensive approach to the generation of 3-phenylcyclopropenes is described. Reaction of these compounds with a range of dienophiles and dipolarophiles led to the stereoselective formation of [4+2]- and [3+2]-cycloadducts, which were exclusively exo-3-phenyl-cis-1,2-disubstituted cyclopropanes. Efficient trapping of 1-lithio-3-phenylcyclopropene with different electrophiles is also discussed. Ab initio calculations suggest that the lowest energy conformation of 3-phenylcyclopropene has the plane of the benzene ring perpendicular to the cyclopropene π-bond but with a low rotation barrier.
Tetrafluoroboric acid adsorbed on silica gel as a reusable heterogeneous dual-purpose catalyst for conversion of aldehydes/ketones into acetals/ketals and back again
Kumar, Dinesh,Kumar, Raj,Chakraborti, Asit K.
, p. 1249 - 1256 (2008/12/22)
Aldehydes and ketones can be protected as acetals and ketals by treatment with trimethyl orthoformate (TMOF) or triethyl orthoformate (TEOF) under the catalytic influence of tetrafluoroboric acid adsorbed on silica gel (HBF 4-SiO2). In the case of aldehydes or ketones with highly electrophilic carbonyl group, the reactions are carried out under solvent-free conditions. Aryl alkyl ketones, aryl styryl ketones, aldehydes with weakly electrophilic carbonyl groups, and aldehydes with substituents that can coordinate with the catalyst require the presence of the corresponding alcohol as solvent. For substrates that can be converted into acetals under neat conditions, the acetal formation takes place at a faster rate when the alcohol is used as the solvent. The catalyst can be recovered and reused/recycled four times (after reactivation after each use) without any significant decrease in its catalytic efficiency. The parent aldehydes/ketones are regenerated from the corresponding acetals/ketals in high yields by the treatment with water-alcohol in the presence of HBF4-SiO2 at room temperature for short times. Excellent selectivity was observed during inter- and intramolecular competition studies involving carbonyl substrates with varying electronic and steric environments. Selective acetal formation of benzaldehyde takes place in the presence of 4-(dimethylamino)benzaldehyde, thiophene-2-carboxaldehyde, 1-naphthaldehyde, 9-anthraldehyde, or acetophenone, but 3-nitrobenzaldehyde undergoes selective acetal formation in preference to benzaldehyde. In the case of 4-acetylbenzaldehyde, exclusive acetal formation of the aldehyde carbonyl group occurs. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart.

Perchloric acid adsorbed on silica gel (HClO4-SiO2) as an inexpensive, extremely efficient, and reusable dual catalyst system for acetal/ketal formation and their deprotection to aldehydes/ketones
Kumar, Raj,Kumar, Dinesh,Chakraborti, Asit K.
, p. 299 - 303 (2007/10/03)
Perchloric acid adsorbed on silica gel (HClO4-SiO2) is reported as extremely efficient, inexpensive, and reusable catalyst for dual role for protection of aldehydes/ketones (with trialkyl orthoformates) as acetals/ketals and deprotection (with water-alcohol) to regenerate the carbonyl compounds in high yields at room temperature and in short times. Acetalization/ketalization of electrophilic aldehydes/ketones was carried out under solvent-free conditions. Weakly electrophilic aldehydes/ketones and aldehydes having a substituent that can coordinate with the catalyst, required the corresponding alcohol as solvent. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart.
Acid-free, organocatalytic acetalization

, p. 434 - 439 (2007/10/03)
The acid-free, organocatalytic acetalization of various aldehydes and ketones with N,N′-bis[3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]thiourea is presented. The neutral, double hydrogen bonding thiourea catalyst can be used at very low loadings of 0.01-1 mol% at room temperature to furnish the respective acetals in 65-99% yield at turnover frequencies around 600 h-1. Acid-labile TBDMS-protected as well as unsaturated aldehydes can be converted efficiently into their acetals utilizing this very mild and highly practical method.
Chemoselective Heck arylation of acrolein diethyl acetal catalyzed by an oxime-derived palladacycle
Nájera, Carmen,Botella, Luis
, p. 9688 - 9695 (2007/10/03)
A dimeric 4-hydroxyacetophenone oxime-derived palladacycle has been used as a very efficient precatalyst for the chemoselective arylation of acrolein diethyl acetal to give either cinnamaldehyde derivatives or 3-arylpropanoate esters by proper choice of the reaction conditions. The synthesis of cinnamaldehyde derivatives can be performed by Heck reaction of acrolein diethyl acetal with iodo-, bromo- or chloroarenes in N,N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) using K2CO3 as base at 120°C and tetra-n-butylammonium acetate (TBAA) and KCl as additives, followed by acid workup. In the case of 3-arylpropanoate esters the corresponding arylation of acrolein diethyl acetal with iodoarenes can be performed at 90°C in aqueous DMA using (dicylohexyl)methylamine as base, whereas for bromoarenes the reaction has to be performed at 120°C using tetra-n-butylammonium bromide (TBAB) as additive. Alternatively, this process can be performed under microwave irradiation. These couplings take place in good yields and with lower catalyst loading than with palladium(II) acetate as well as in shorter reaction times and with lower excess of acrolein diethyl acetal.
