The invention discloses a preparation method of a sensitizing agent HF20-tpip for visible and infrared emission lanthanide elements. The method includes: taking bromopentafluorobenzene as a starting material, performing Grignard reaction with elementary magnesium in tetrahydrofuran solvent to obtain bromopentafluorobenzene magnesium Grignard reagent solution, directly performing reaction with phosphorus trichloride at a low temperature under nitrogen protection to prepare bis-(pentabromobenzyl)phosphoric chloride, and performing high-vacuum distillation, separation and purification to obtain high-purity bis-(pentabromobenzyl)phosphoric chloride; performing amination reaction with hexamethyldisilazane, and directly adopting an oxidant for oxidation reaction to obtain N-(P,P-bis(pentafluobenzoyl))-P,P-p-(di(pentafluorophenyl)phosphinimidic acid crude product (HF20-tpip, for short). The preparation method is mild in reaction condition, simple and convenient to operate and free of silica gel columns, high-yield high-purity HF20-tpip can be obtained only by adoption of a conventional refining method, and the method is suitable for industrial production.
