The invention discloses a series of alkyl trimethyl tin compounds as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The method comprises the following steps: uniformly mixing alkyl iodide, alkali and hexamethylditin in a solvent, reacting at 30 DEG C for 24 hours, and concentrating after the reaction is finished; and then carrying out column chromatography to obtain a pure alkyl trimethyl tin product. The raw material adopted by the invention is the alkyl iodide which is an important supplement compared with the existing reaction method adopting alkyl halide and Grignard reagent as raw materials, and the method has the advantages of wide raw material source, cheap and easily available raw materials, low production cost, reaction at room temperature and no use of a transition metal catalyst. The reaction involved in the method has good tolerance and universality on functional groups, and substituent groups on alkyl can be hydrogen, methyl, tertiary butyl, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, cyano, trifluoromethyl, methoxyl, methylsulfonyl or ethyl ester group and the like.
Aldehydes as Alkylating Agents for Ketones

Common and non-toxic aldehydes are proposed as reagents for alkylation of ketones instead of carcinogenic alkyl halides. The developed reductive alkylation reaction proceeds in the presence of the commercially available ruthenium catalyst [(cymene)RuCl2]2 (as low as 250 ppm) and carbon monoxide as the reducing agent. The reaction works well for a broad substrate scope, including aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes and ketones. It can be carried out without a solvent and often gives nearly quantitative yields of the products. This straightforward and cost-effective method is promising not only for laboratory application but also for industry, which produces carbon monoxide as a large-scale waste product.
Selective and Serial Suzuki-Miyaura Reactions of Polychlorinated Aromatics with Alkyl Pinacol Boronic Esters

Among cross-coupling reactions, the Suzuki-Miyaura transformation stands out because of its practical advantages, including the commercial availability and low toxicity of the required reagents, mild reaction conditions, and functional group compatibility. Nevertheless, few conditions can be used to cross-couple alkyl boronic acids or esters with aryl halides, especially 2-pyridyl halides. Herein, we describe two novel Suzuki-Miyaura protocols that enable selective conversion of polychlorinated aromatics, with a focus on reactions to convert 2,6-dichloropyridines to 2-chloro-6-alkylpyridines or 2-aryl-6-alkylpyridines.
Effects of substituents on NMR chemical shifts and mass fragmentation patterns of 1-aryl-3-phenylpropanes

The 1H and 13C chemical shifts and the mass spectral fragmentation patterns of 1-aryl-3-phenylpropanes with m- or p-substituents (H, NO2, Br, Cl, OCH3, CH3) were studied. The electronic effects of the substi-tuents seemed to be transmitted by the through-space as well as by a through-bond mechanism, resulting in an inverse correlation in the plot of the chemical shift values of i-C vs. the Hammett σ values. The mass spectra showed the substituted benzyl fragments as the base peaks when the substituents were electron donating, whereas the benzyl fragment was observed as the base peaks with the electron-withdrawing substituents.

Compounds having blood-anticoagulant properties of the general molecular formula: STR1 in which Z represents a halogen atom, preferably a chlorine atom, and n is 0, 1 or 2 and R4 represents either (1) a grouping which comprises a phenylene radical attached directly or indirectly to the tetralin ring and having in the para position (with respect to such attachment) an electron-withdrawing atom or group whose rotational volume substantially does not exceed that of a phenyl group and which forms together with said phenylene radical a polarizable structure, or (2) a grouping selected from: STR2 or (3) a grouping which comprises a phenylene radical attached directly to the tetralin ring and having in the para position (with respect to such attachment) a substituted furanyl or thiophenyl radical attached thereto directly or through oxygen and/or methylene, said furanyl or thiophenyl radical having such an electron-withdrawing atom or group as a substituent in a position forming with the furanyl or thiophenyl radical a polarizable structure, compounds of the type (1) in which R4 contains two phenylene radicals linked essentially linearly by an aliphatic chain comprising a methylene radical or radicals and optionally at least one oxygen or sulphur atom being preferred. Also included are the processes for the preparation of such compound; rodenticidal compositions containing them; and a method for controlling rodents by applying such a composition.

The photochemical dechlorinations of chlorides of the benzene, naphthalene, and biphenyl series are compared. It is concluded that triplet-state homolysis of the Ar-Cl bond is the preferred reaction pathway provided that the chloro compound has a triplet energy close to the necessary bond-dissociation energy. For 1-chloronaphthalene this is not the case, and an inefficient degradation takes place from the singlet state.
