N,S-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-L-cysteine trimethylsilyl ester is a complex organic compound with the chemical formula C9H24NO2SSi2. It is a derivative of L-cysteine, an amino acid, where both the nitrogen (N) and sulfur (S) atoms are protected with trimethylsilyl groups, and the carboxylic acid group is also esterified with a trimethylsilyl group. N,S-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-L-cysteine trimethylsilyl ester is commonly used in organic synthesis and peptide chemistry as a protecting group for cysteine residues, preventing unwanted side reactions and ensuring selective modification of other functional groups. The trimethylsilyl groups can be removed under mild conditions, allowing for the deprotection of the cysteine residue when needed.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7364-50-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,3,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7364-50:
(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*5)+(1*0)=103
103 % 10 = 3
So 7364-50-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

29Si and 13C NMR Spectra of Trimethylsilylated Amino Acids

Schraml, Jan,Kvicalova, Magdalena,Schwarzova, Iveta,Velisek, Jan

, p. 591 - 595 (2007/10/02)

The 29Si and 13C NMR chemical shifts are reported for trimethylsilyl derivatives of 25 amino acids, the majority of which occur naturally as protein constituents of foodstuffs. The 29Si chemical shifts in trimethylsilyl esters of amino acids roughly correlate linearly with the pK values of the parent amino acid.No such simple correlations were found for the shifts in the fully trimethylsilylated amino acids. The 29Si chemical shifts of various functionalities encountered fall into distinct spectral regions, but the shifts of (CH3)3SiN or (CH3)3SiOOC groups alone are not sufficiently characteristic to identify the acid but their combination is in most cases. - Keywords: 29Si NMR 13C NMR Amino acids Trimethylsilyl derivatives Chemical shifts pK values
