FOB China prices for lysine (CAS 56-87-1) and threonine (CAS 72-19-5) have stabilised this month, after recent decline. But the container freight rate to Europe and the Americas has been going up strongly and is expected to remain firm at least throughout the summer, leading to firmer price offers for the remainder of Q3 and Q4. Methionine (CAS 63-68-3) had become slightly weaker recently, but is stabilising at the moment. Tryptophan (CAS 73-22-3) and valine (CAS 7004-03-7) are weakish, but any price decline is currently offset by higher freight rates. In general, no significant changes are seen in the amino acids market. The market in Europe remains relatively active as FOB China prices have stayed.
