Etude thermoanalytique du chlorhydrate de clofexamide (cas 1223-36-5) et de son interaction avec la phenylbutazone

After studying three polymorphs for clofexamide (cas 1223-36-5) hydrochloride we have established the phase diagram of the binary system clofexamide hydrochloride(I)-phenylbutazone(I) by different methods: differential scanning calorimetry, differential thermal analysis, transparency method and thermomicroscopy. Molar composition mixtures containing < 0.3 moles of phenylbutazone present three endotherms, those with 0.3–0.7 moles present two and those with > 0.7 mole present four endotherms. Solid solutions are shown. The eutectic composition is 0.5 moles of phenylbutazone (Tf = 97°C). The last endotherm (Tf = 90°C) is a eutectoid resulting from a phenylbutazone polymorphic modification.
