Δ24/Δ25-Derivatives of 20-hydroxyecdysone were hydroborated by sodium borohydride in the presence of CuCl followed by oxidation of organoboron intermediate and deblocking of hydroxyl groups to synthesise the zoo-and phytoecdysteroid inokosterone.
