The mid and far i.r. absorption spectra of three disubstituted phenols, namely 4-nitro-3-methyl-, 2-amino-4-nitro- and 4-amino-3-methylphenol were recorded. Vibrational assignments are proposed, assuming Cs symmetry for the molecules.
