Analysis of the proton NMR spectrum of Thiepin 1,1-dioxide (cas 16301-89-6)

The high resolution proton magnetic resonance spectrum of thiepin 1,1-dioxide has been recorded and completely analyzed in terms of chemical shifts and coupling constants. The NMR spectral parameters are discussed in relation to the geometry of the molecule. The experimental results indicate that thiepin 1,1-dioxide maintains in solution the flattened boat conformation found in the solid by X-ray diffraction studies.
