The acidic dissociation constant and the solubility of 4-amino-4'-chlorodiphenyl have been determined. The solubility of the amine sulphate has been redetermined and found to be ten times greater than reported earlier. The reason for the discrepancy is revealed, and the use of the amine as a reagent in the micro-analytical determination of sulphate is discussed in the light of the experimental results.
