Effects of abietic acid derivative rosination on C.I. Pigment Yellow 13
-
Add time:08/04/2019 Source:sciencedirect.com
C.I. Pigment Yellow 13 was rosinated with abietic acid and the abietic acid derivative, Staybelite, at up to 40% loading. The crude pigment, recrystallised pigment and rosin coated pigment preparations were examined by solid-state NMR spectroscopy and by powder X-ray diffraction. The primary effect of the rosination procedure is to increase the crystalline order of the pigment. No evidence was found for any specific pigment-rosin interactions.
