Preparation and properties of substituted ammonium hexafluorotitanates

Methods for the preparation of ammonium-type hexafluorotitanates are described. Solubilities, infra-red spectra and X-ray powder diffraction patterns are reported. Thermal decomposition of some of these materials occurs on sublimation and the products obtained are reported. These decomposition products are substituted ammonium fluorides and bifluorides, some of which are not previously described.
