Thermodynamics of mixing two-component mixtures consisting of cellulose diacetate and poly(2-methyl-5-vinylpyridine) with dimethyl formamide has been studied over broad intervals of temperature and composition. The mixtures separate into two phases upon both heating and cooling, demonstrating the existence of the upper and lower critical mixing temperatures.
