IntroductionAs the current methods to predict the inhalation toxicity of chemicals using animal models are limited, alternative methods are required. We present a new in vitro prediction method for acute inhalation toxicity using the Calu-3 epithelial cytotoxicity assay applicable for water-soluble inhalable chemicals.
