Synthesis and properties of novel C3-symmetrical 1,3,5-tris(dibenzoheterolyl)benzenes

1,3,5-Tris(dibenzoheterolyl)benzenes 2S, 2O, and 2N were synthesized through acid-catalyzed cyclization reactions of acetyl dibenzoheteroles 1S, 1O, and 1N, respectively. Their photophysical and electrochemical properties were investigated by means of UV–vis, fluorescence spectroscopies, and cyclic voltammetry. The obtained results were also supported by the theoretical calculations.
