The thermal and spectral properties of chelates of 2,4-dinitrosoresorcinol with copper, cobalt, nickel, zinc, lead, cadmium, and mercury have been investigated. The properties of these chelates are compared with the previously studied chelates of N,N′-dinitroso-p-phenylenedihydroxylamine (dicupferron). Several unsuccessful attempts were made to prepare complexes of beryllium and manganese.
