Add time:09/02/2019 Source:sciencedirect.com
The energy of formation of holmium trifluoride was measured by direct fluorination of holmium metal in a bomb calorimeter. From the experimental results the following values were determined: the standard enthalpy of formation ΔHfo(HoF3, c, 298.15 K) = −(1698 ± 6) kJ mol−1 and the standard Gibbs energy of formation ΔGfo(HoF3, c, 298.15 K) = −(1620 ± 6) kJ mol−1.
