BackgroundSomatostatin analogs are the backbone of neuroendocrine neoplasms treatment. Biliary stone disease is a potentially severe adverse event of somatostatin analogs: an increased incidence has been reported in somatostatin analogs-treated acromegalic patients, but studies on patients with neuroendocrine neoplasms are lacking.
