A new metabolic product of L-Homocitrulline (cas 1383-01-8)

The appearance of an unidentified compound in rat urine following intraperitoneal injections of l-[ureido-14C]homocitrulline indicated that a previously unreported metabolite was being produced. Under acidic conditions the unknown was converted to a second compound. An apparently identical metabolite of homocitrulline was produced by treating this amino acid with l-amino acid oxidase.
