Several carbocyclic phosphonate analogs of 2′,3′-dideoxyadenosine-5′-monophosphate (ddAMP) were pyrophosphorylated by E. coli 5-phosphoribosyl-1-pyrophosphate (PRPP) synthetase in the presence of PRPP. Structure-activity relationships are discussed.
