In the heterobimetallic compound PbTi4(OAllyl)9.9(OiPr)6.1(OAc)2, obtained from Ti(OiPr)4 and Pb(OAc)2 in the presence of allylic alcohol, two [Ti2(OR)8(OAc)]− units are coordinated to the central lead ion exclusively through bridging OR groups. The lone pair of the lead ion (E) occupies an equatorial position in a distorted pentagonal PbO6E bipyramid.
