A reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic method has been developed for the determination of Methabenzthiazuron (cas 18691-97-9) in aqueous solutions in the presence of soil constituents. Spiked aqueous soil samples were injected after centrifugation and filtration. Quantitative recoveries were observed and high precision was obtained. The concentration range studied, 2.93–46.92 mg/l, is very suitable for adsorption-desorption studies of methabenzthiazuron in soil.
