A palladium-catalyzed and stereoselective Heck-type reaction between the iodine heterocycle, 3,7-bis(N,N-dimethylamino)-10H-dibenz[b,e]iodinium iodide and α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds wasaccomplished at mild temperature in good yields.
