The proton magnetic resonance spectrum of 2,5-dichloro p-xylene oriented in a nematic phase was recorded using the Fourier transform technique. Complete analysis of the spectrum was possible using subspectral decomposition. Furthermore, a simple iterative method convenient for larger multispin systems is proposed.
