Excess molar volumesV E m at the temperatures 298.15 K and 308.15 K and normal atmospheric pressure for [x{ClCH 2 CH 2 CH 2 Cl or ClCH 2 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 2 Cl} + (1 -x)CH 3 CO(CH 2 ) q - 3 CH 3 ] withq= 4, 5, and 6 were obtained from measurements of the density with an Anton-Paar densimeter. TheV E m values increase asqincreases and when ClCH 2 CH 2 CH 2 Cl is replaced by ClCH 2 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 2 Cl. Excess molar volumes decrease when the temperature increases. The trend of the excess volumes with the separation of the Cl atoms of the dichloroalkane is just the opposite to that found in previous papers for the excess enthalpies.
