The paper considers the effect of sintering and copper infiltration processes on pseudoalloys nickel-molybdenum steel-copper structure and mechanical properties. The study is based on PZhR 3.200.28 and ASC 100.29 iron powders usage.Using iron powder ASC 100.29, that is less contaminated with related compounds, does not influence significantly the microstructure of copper-infiltrated steel.Pseudoalloys high mechanical properties are mainly associated with the large volume of deformation-induced austenite-to-martensite transformation in the zone of steel fracturing and martensite formation with nanoscale crystallites. The decrease in pseudoalloys austenite stability in comparison with powder steels is a result of a more homogenous distribution of alloying elements at sintering with present copper-based liquid phase.
