PL 87809 30 Nov 1976, 3 pp. (Polish). (Poland). CODEN: POXXA7. CLASS: IC: C08G030-00. APPLICATION: PL 73-166483 12 Nov 1973. DOCUMENT TYPE: Patent CA Section: 42 (Coatings, Inks, and Related Products) Epoxy resin compns. that imparted high abrasion resistance and good adhesiveness to synthetic resins, and good dielec. properties to glass fibers are produced in the form of aq. emulsions contg. epoxy resins unmodified and modified with hydroxyamines. The modification consists in dissolving the resin in a 5--5 arom. hydrocarbon-aliph. alc. mixt., adding a hydroxylamine (preferably ethanolamine [141-43-5] or diethanolamine [111-42-2]), and heating at 5-150°. The mixt. was treated with lactic [50-21-5] or ricinoleic acid [141-22-0] and mixed with unmodified resin, water, and eventually other ingredients such as hardeners, plasticizers, wetting agents, antistatic agents etc.
- Stimulation of adenylate cyclase in homogenates of isolated intestinal epithelial cells from hamsters
- Stimulation of adenylate cyclase in homogenates of isolated intestinal epithelial cells from hamsters. Effects of gastrointestinal hormones, prostaglandins, and deoxycholic and ricinoleic acids. Gaginella, T. S.; Phillips, S. F.; Dozois, R. R.; Go, V. L. W. (Gastroenterol. Unit, Mayo Clin. and Mayo Found., Rochester, Minn., USA). Gastroenterology, 74(1), 11-15 (English) 1978. CODEN: GASTAB. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 2 (Hormone Pharmacology) In a system of pure epithelial cells isolated from the small intestine of the hamster by vibration in buffer, several gastrointestinal hormones were tested for their capacity to stimulate adenylate cyclase [9012-42-4]; vasoactive intestinal peptide [37221-79-7] and impure cholecystokinin [9011-97-6] (but not the 99% pure prepn. or pure cholecystokinin octapeptide) were potent stimuli, but pentagastrin, glucagon, secretin, and gastric inhibitory peptide were impotent. Two prostaglandins, PGE1 [745-65-3] and PGE2 [363-24-6] were potent stimuli of adenylate cyclase. Two other compds. that provoke intestinal secretion of fluid, deoxycholic acid [83-44-3] and ricinoleic acid [141-22-0] (castor oil), were ineffective stimuli of adenylate cyclase. Apparently, there is no clear-cut relation between a compd.'s ability to stimulate adenylase cyclase and its activity as an intestinal secretagog.
