CODEN: 37MOAO. DOCUMENT TYPE: Conference CA Section: 18 (Animal Nutrition) Urea phosphate (I) [4861-19-2], contg. 17.7% N and 19.6% P, is hydrolyzed more slowly than urea and its N is better utilized by bacterial flora of the gastrointestinal tract of livestock. Cattle given 150 g I/head/day had meat prodn. increases of 10-15% and increased milk prodn. Sheep given 26-40 g I/day had increased wool prodn. I can be easily granulated and incorporated into feeds.

- Dynamics of the uptake of trace elements (copper and zinc) in relation to major elements in winter wheat. Part I. Hudec, Jozef; Polacek, Stefan; Ragas, Adrian (Vys. Sk. Pol'nohospod., Nitra, Czech.). Pol'nohospodarstvo, 24(1), 35-45 (Slovak) 1978. CODEN: POLNAJ. ISSN: 0551-3677. DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 19 (Fertilizers, Soils, and Plant Nutrition) The effect of N-P fertilizer forms and N-P-K on wheat uptake of Cu and Zn was studied in pot expts. with a chernozem on loess a soil. The N-P fertilizers were: urea, NH4NO3, urea phosphate [4861-19-2], and (NH4)2HPO4. Urea fertilizer resulted in a greater accumulation of P and less K than did NH4NO3. P-fertilizer form affected P accumulation in wheat organs. Urea phosphate was the most efficient fertilizer. N application resulted in increased accumulation of Zn in all plant parts; P decreased the Zn in straw and increased Cu and Zn in the grain.
