DOCUMENT TYPE: Journal CA Section: 38 (Plastics Fabrication and Uses) A lipoamide (LAm) structure was introduced into a polymeric membrane by chem. modification of poly(g-methyl-D-glutamate [25767-60-6]. A redox reaction proceeded across the membrane between methylene blue [61-73-4] and tetramethylammonium borohydride [16883-45-7] or Bu3P [998-40-3] mediated by pendant LAm groups as solid carriers. It is suggested that the electron transport process in the membrane is derived from the exchange reaction between reduced LAm (thiol) and LAm (disulfide).
