Uses of 4-Amino-5-hydroxy-2,7-naphthalene disulfonic acid: it can be used in organic synthesisas and used as intermediates of dyes and pigments. And it can react with 10-(4-bromomethyl-benzyl)-10H-phenothiazine to get 4-hydroxy-5-(4-phenothiazin-10-ylmethyl-benzylamino)-naphthalene-2,7-disulfonic acid. This reaction will need reagent AcONa and solvent H₂O. The reaction time is 8 hours at reaction temperature of 5-250 °C. The yield is about 85%.
