Pandat is a software package for calculating multicomponent phase diagrams. Pandat is a tool for engineers and scientists who use phase diagrams to make informed choices about alloy compositions, heat treatments, and many other aspects of materials.

Pandat's calculations require a thermodynamic database, a description of the free energy for every phase in the system. Pandat supports systems with solution phases, line compounds, and intermetallic phases described by the compound-energy formalism. Pandat reads databases in a propriatary format and in the text-based tdb file format. Pandat is supplied with a few example database files. In order to calculate the phase diagrams and thermodynamic properties of a system, you must have a thermodynamic database for that system. CompuTherm LLC sells databases for , , and -based alloys.
