GetthePatent.com is owned by Cartesian Products, Inc., a high-technology research and development company based in Newton, Massachusetts. The company was founded in September 1991 to provide advanced software technology to improve worldwide communication and information access. The GetthePatent.com archive contains complete patent images for all USPTO, EPO, and WIPO (PCT) patents, as well as the national publications of France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, and Switzerland. In addition, the archive contains the full text and bibliographic information for every USPTO patent issued since 1976, as well as all published USPTO patent applications.
The archive is updated weekly. The USPTO section of the archive is typically updated each Tuesday; published USPTO patent applications are updated each Friday; the EPO and WIPO sections are typically updated each Wednesday. USPTO and EPO patents are added the same week they are published; WIPO patents are added two weeks after publication; other national publications are added as the documents become available.
