- Production Method of Butoctamide hydrogen succinate
-
Butoctamide hydrogen succinate (CAS NO.: ), with its systematic name of Butanedioic acid, mono(3-((2-ethylhexyl)amino)-1-methyl-3-oxopropyl) ester (9CI), could be produced through many synthetic methods.
Following is one of the synthesis routes: Diketene (I) could react with 2-ethylhexylamine (II) to produce N-(2-ethylhexyl)acetoacetamide (III), and then the yielding product is reduced to the target compound with H2 over Raney-Ni in methanol.
