A synthetic pathway is reported for the preparation of cis and trans forms of 2-(p-methoxyphenyl)-3-methyl-morpholine from the same key-compound, the p-methoxy- -(N,N'-dibenzylamino)-propiophenone, through stereospecific reduction processes.
