A mononuclear trigonal bypiramidal vanadium(III) complex, (tipt = 2,4,6-tri-isopropylbenzenethiolate; thf = tetrahydrofuran), has been prepared and charcterized by X-ray crystallography and magnetic susceptibility, u.v.-viseble and infrared spectroscopic, and electrochemical measurements.
