Addition of SCl2, SOCl2, SO2Cl2, or SeCl4 to liquid ammonia followed by Pt(PR3)2Cl2 gives complexes of the type Pt(S2N2)(PR3)2, Pt(NSO)2(PR3)2, Pt<(HN)2SO2>(PR3)2, and Pt(Se2N2)(PR3)2 respectively; the X-ray structure of Pt<(HN)2SO2>(PPh2Me)2 is reported.
