Diazide derivatives of β-cyclodextrin were converted to the corresponding dicarboxylic acid derivatives by the photo-decomposition of azide groups, which was found to proceed normally for both of 6(A),6(D)-diazido-6(A),6(D)-dideoxy- and the corresponding
