[1.1.1]Propellane 1 has been reduced by 3 to 1,3-dilithiobicyclo[1.1.1]pentane (2b). which could be converted to some 1,3-disubstituted derivatives of 2a The reduction was also achieved with propellane 5. In addition, the synthesis oF the dialkyne 2i is reported.
