suggest that VDAC2 may play a greater role than VDAC1 in
mediating this connection. Because VDAC2 is expressed mostly
with the presence of -1 receptor binding ligand KSCM-1, we
propose that deletion of -1 receptor disrupts the bridge formed
by VDAC2, resulting in an inhibition of cholesterol influx into
the mitochondria.
