We report the preparation of polyfluoroalkyl aldehydes R(F)(CH₂)(n)CHO in high yields by direct oxidation of polyfluoroalkyl alcohols; the Swern oxidation, pyridinium chlorochromate and Dess-Martin periodinane are used and compared.
