One pot synthesis of furyl α-bromoketones from furyl ketones using the A-162 Br3-resin/CH3NO2 system

Furyl ketones are brominated in a single-step reaction using the A-162 Br₃-/CH₃NO₂ system. Furyl α-bromoketones are obtained with good yield and high selectivity.
