Synthesis of 2,33-dihydro-4-oxomurisolin: Conjugate addition of primary alkyl iodides to α,β-unsaturated ketones

A synthesis of the title compound is described. The conjugate addition of highly functionalized primary alkyl iodide to enone allows us to obtain a precursor of the monotetrahydrofuran acetogenin murisolin.
