appropriate compositions to be the Ferrar primary
magmas, assuming the Victoria Land granulites to be
the crustal contaminants. Therefore, the Ferrar tho-
leiites do not necessarily re¯ect the generally assumed
depleted source mantle as they are also compatible
with a fertile mantle.
