Article abstract of DOI:10.1055/s-1997-6147

The 5-hydroxycoumaran derivative 1 possessing imidazole group was synthesized from 2-isopropyl-6-methylphenol with high regioselectivity. The compound 1 was the water-soluble antioxidant with potent bioavailability and showed TXA₂ synthase inhibition.
