YongJun Guo is a professor at Southwest Petroleum University. He
focuses on investigating salt-resistant and temperature-resistant
hydrophobically associating polymer for flooding, smart gel plugging
agents for well blowouts and leakage accidents. He has taken charge
of over ten research projects from the National ‘‘863’’ Plan Major
Program of China, Major National Science and Technology Oil &
Gas Projects, National ‘‘973’’ Program of China and the projects of
Province or Ministry, and has worked as a main investigator to study
the novel polymer for EOR. He has published over 40 professional
papers on the theory, development, and application technology of
functional polymers.
