This paper reports precise conductance values for dilute (<4E-3 mol dm-3) aqueous solution of twenty-three 2:2 salts at 25 deg C.Alkaline earth metal sulfates, thiosulphates, dithionates, tetrathionates, ethyl-, n-propyl-, n-butyl-disulphonates and acetylenedicarboxylates were studied.The results are analysed by means of the Lee-Wheathon conductance equation in terms of the limiting molar conductivity, Λ0, the association constant, KA, and the association distance, R.The interpretation of these parameters is discussed and the values compared with previous work on these and similar systems.
