(12) As a typical experiment, the reaction of 2,4,6-triiso-
propylbromobenzene (0.28 g, 1 mmol), n-butyl acrylate
(0.26 g, 2 mmol) and K2CO3 (0.28 g, 2 mmol) at 130 °C
during 20 h in dry DMF (1 mL) in the presence of cis,cis,cis-
1,2,3,4-tetrakis(diphenylphosphinomethyl)cyclopentane/
[PdCl(C3H5)]2 complex (0.02 mmol) under argon affords the
corresponding adduct after evaporation and filtration on
silica gel (ether/pentane: 1/5) in 86% (0.36 g) isolated yield.
1H NMR ( 300 MHz, CDCl3): = 7.90 (d, J = 16.5 Hz, 1 H),
7.01 (s, 2 H), 5.92 (d, J = 16.5 Hz, 1 H), 4.21 (t, J = 6.8 Hz,
2 H), 3.10 (sept., J = 6.8 Hz, 2 H), 2.88 (sept., J = 6.9 Hz, 1
H), 1.70 (m, 2 H), 1.44 (m, 2 H), 1.25 (d, J = 6.9 Hz, 6 H),
1.18 (d, J = 6.9 Hz, 12 H), 0.96 (t, J = 7.3 Hz, 3 H).
