A mixture of Cp2Zr(H)Cl (1 mmol) and alkyne (1) (1
mmol) in THF (6 ml) was stirred at r.t. for 30 min to
yield a clear solution. Into the resulting solution were
added Pd(PPh3)4 (0.05 mmol) and (Z)-a-bromovinyl-
stannane (4) (1 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at
40 8C for 24 h. The mixture was diluted with diethyl
ether (40 ml) and the mixture was filtered through a
short plug of silica gel and concentrated to give a
residue. The residue was purified by flash chromato-
graphy on silica gel eluting with light petroleum ether.
